General Dentistry

General dentistry covers all the preventive and restorative procedures that form the foundation of oral and dental care, from routine examinations and scaling to fillings and preventive treatments, to protect the health of your teeth in the long term.

We work with a prevention-first approach. Regular check-ups let us catch problems while they are still small and, where needed, treat them early and comfortably, avoiding the need for more extensive treatment later.

What We Do

  • Routine oral and dental examination
  • Scaling and polishing
  • Aesthetic (composite) fillings
  • Gum health assessment
  • Preventive fluoride applications
  • Fissure sealant (protective filling) applications

Why It Matters

Regular check-ups are the easiest way to catch decay and gum disease at an early stage. A small problem left untreated can progress into pain, tooth loss and more costly treatment.

Preventive dentistry supports not only your teeth but your general health. Healthy gums and a clean mouth reduce bad breath, improve chewing comfort and boost your confidence.

Treatment Process

1

Examination

Your teeth, gums and oral tissues are assessed in detail, and X-rays are taken if needed.

2

Cleaning & Care

Tartar and plaque are removed and the teeth are polished. You are advised on correct brushing and care.

3

Treatment & Prevention

Any decay is treated with fillings; where needed, preventive applications such as fluoride or fissure sealants are carried out.

4

Regular Follow-up

A suitable check-up interval is set to keep your oral health on track.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I visit the dentist?

In general we recommend a check-up every six months. This interval can be personalized by your dentist according to your oral health.

Does scaling harm the teeth?

No. Scaling protects gum health without damaging the enamel, reduces bad breath and supports the natural appearance of the teeth.

Is getting a filling painful?

Since the procedure is done under local anesthesia, you feel no pain. Brief mild sensitivity afterwards is normal.

Is bleeding gums normal?

Regular bleeding while brushing is often a sign of gum inflammation and should not be ignored. Its cause can be identified and treated with an examination.
