Orthodontics

Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that diagnoses and treats irregularities of the teeth and jaws. Crowded teeth, gaps, bite (occlusion) problems and jaw misalignments are corrected with fixed braces or clear aligners. The goal is not only an attractive smile, but also a healthy bite and chewing function.

At our clinic we offer orthodontic treatment suitable for every age, from children to adults. Before treatment we carry out a detailed examination, the necessary imaging and a digital assessment to prepare a personalized plan, and we monitor the results closely throughout the process.

What We Do

  • Metal and clear (ceramic) braces
  • Invisible orthodontics with clear aligners
  • Correcting crowding and gaps between teeth
  • Treatment of bite (occlusion) problems
  • Early (preventive) orthodontics for children
  • Retainer applications after treatment

Why It Matters

Well-aligned teeth matter not only aesthetically but also for oral health. Crowded teeth are harder to clean, which increases the risk of decay and gum disease. A correct bite improves chewing function, balances the load on the jaw joint and positively affects speech.

Detecting orthodontic problems early can shorten treatment time and allow simpler solutions. That is why regular dental check-ups are especially important for children.

Treatment Process

1

Examination & Digital Planning

An intraoral examination is carried out, the necessary X-rays and impressions are taken, and your teeth and jaw structure are assessed digitally to create a personalized treatment plan.

2

Starting Treatment

According to the plan, fixed braces or clear aligners are applied. We decide together which method suits you best, based on your case and preferences.

3

Regular Check-ups

You attend check-ups at set intervals during treatment. At these visits the movement of the teeth is monitored and any necessary adjustments are made.

4

Retention

Once the teeth reach the desired position, treatment is complete. Retainers are used to keep the results stable and long-lasting.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does orthodontic treatment take?

Although it varies with the complexity of the case, treatment usually takes between 6 and 24 months. An estimated timeline is shared with you at the first examination.

Should I choose clear aligners or braces?

Both are effective. Clear aligners offer aesthetics and comfort and, being removable, make hygiene easier; some complex cases are better treated with fixed braces. We decide the best option together after an examination.

Is orthodontic treatment painful?

You may feel mild pressure and sensitivity for the first few days after braces or aligners are fitted; this passes quickly. The procedures themselves are painless.

Can adults have orthodontic treatment?

Yes. As long as your gums and bone are healthy, there is no age limit for orthodontic treatment. Clear aligners are particularly suitable for adults who are conscious about aesthetics.
